9U HL Game Day Card - Quick Rules
9U Game Day Card as per Niagara Interlock Baseball rule book
- Mound = 44’, Bases 65’, machine is never adjusted ( 35-40 mph)
- Must begin with 8 minimum players ( 7 for regular season)
- 3 innings is considered official or 60 minutes ( 6 innings max)
- No new inning after 1hr 20 min, Umpire does not call last inning
- Run per inning = 4,4,4,4,4,4
- 5 strike rule ( hittable, bat swing or called ) alive on 5th pitch foul ball
- Dead ball = batter awarded 1st base, runners advance if forced only
- Umpire makes call to end play when ball reaches infield baseline and
- decides where runners should be at time of call
- No extra bases awarded on over throws at first base
- Educate defense to play either in front or behind baseline to avoid
- interference with runners at this age group ( no play = stay away)
- Next inning catcher ( with 2 outs)
- 1st pitch should be less than 2 minutes from previous set of 3 outs
- Only 1 coach on field for defensive players
- Coaches and Umpires relationships needs to be exceptional at all times
