2027 Rep and Select Coach Application Form

Hi Everyone,

Our Rep and Select Head Coaching applications are now open; we only require one submission for the head coach, all other staff positions will be determined by the head coach after tryouts are complete. Click Here to Apply by August 15, 2026 to be considered for the position.

WMBA plans to field teams at the following levels in 2027.

• Rep

  8U(2019), 9U(2018), 10U(2017), 11U(2016), 12U(2015), 13U(2014), 14U(2013), 15U(2012), 18U(2009-11). If enough interest we may field a standalone 16U team (2011)

  Select 

  9U(2018-19), 11U(2016-17), 13U(2014-15), 15U(2012-2013), 18U (2009-11). Select teams will be assessed based on interest and skill level and we may decide to not field in team in one or more divisions.

 *Select teams may consist of players from house league and will be used as a development program for our rep teams.  Select teams will be determined based on coach and player interest.

Please Note:

The head coach selection process is a decision that impacts players in their development, growth, and their enjoyment of the game. It also impact the families of these players, the community and the image and reputation of the Welland Minor Baseball Association and its members. Coaches are required to meet and support the Association expectations as set out below, in addition to complying with the WMBA Code of Conduct, by-laws, and constitution. Persons interested in applying for a Coaching position should consider these before submitting their application

1. All coaches must abide by the WMBA Code of Conduct, by-laws, and constitution.
2. All coaches must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) done.
3. All coaches shall be NCCP Certified or willing to obtain NCCP Certification appropriate for the level they are applying to coach.
4. Coaching positions will be awarded based on the following:
   1. Application
   2. Coaching History
   3. Reference Check
   4. Interview (if necessary)
